Organizationally, a new operating unit, HPC-Lab, was set up, dedicated to high-performance and big data computing, coordinated by Dr. Simonetta Pagnutti.
10 new projects have been launched, of which several insist on the issues of smart cities, above all with a community point of view, with pilots on the regional territory (Roveri-Pilastro, Bologna and Imola, Ravenna); on the subject of Made in Italy and manufacturing industry other projects explore the use of 3D CAD and blockchain technologies; alongside ICT technologies, the laboratory explores energy technologies, connected for example to CO2 reduction and innovative fuels.
